COVID-19

Throughout the world, COVID-19 has greatly impacted the business-to-business (B2B) exhibitions industry. OATF has taken cognizance of this and is closely monitoring the effects of the pandemic on the industry. OATF is closely adhering to National regulations guidelines and protocols; as well as those suggested by the WHO www.who.int.

The guidelines below shall be strictly adhered to during OATF 2021 exhibition:

Screening

  • Every exhibitor and visitor shall be temperature tested and sanitized on point of entry to the show ground.

  • Visitors shall be given a ground map layout for direction to each and every venue.

General Cleaning

  • Daily exhibition hall disinfection

  • Handrails

  • Information desk

  • All entrance revolving door handles, main door handles, and push bars

  • Public furniture

  • High-touch points in meeting areas (door handles, podiums, etc.)

  • General readiness

  • Security, Fire Safety and paramedic personnel have guidelines on how to recognize possible symptoms of Coronavirus.

  • First Aid staff will be available to assist attendees or exhibitors as needed.

  • Air flow: The venue will increase the outside air intake/air change rate during event hours.

Venue Area and Show Organization

  • Daily cleaning in all event areas

  • Hand sanitizer stations placed at strategic locations throughout the event area

  • Sale of masks on site for exhibitors at the information desk

  • Temperature testing for Exhibitors and Visitors

  • Pre-exhibitors registration (two weeks in advance)

  • Option of Online visitor ticket purchasing to allow even distribution of people within entrance gates and limit queues in entry tickets at exhibition ground

  • Decreased seating in the conference sessions to allow for social distancing

  • Encouraging social distancing in common areas through signage and floor decals

  • A maximum of 30 minutes per visitor in a hall to allow others enter the hall

  • Exhibition halls entry shall be guided by the security personnel to ensure compliance protocols.

Best Practices and Recommendations for Exhibitors

OATF shall provide best practices/suggestions for exhibitors to maintain adequate social distancing in their exhibition booths including:

  • Cleaning machines and high touch surfaces with alcohol based sanitizer multiple times throughout the day

  • Allow adequate social distancing in the stand

  • Schedule appointments in advance with potential clients

  • Exhibitors must provide hand sanitizer in the exhibition booth for all visitors

  • Only two personnel are allowed at each stand per shift
